Making a Positive Change

Making a positive change by making Christ the first priority of your life. Change here refers to the act of one making a total difference in his or her life either from worse to good or from better to worse. As believers or followers of our Lord and Master Jesus Christ, It is very necessary to effect a positive change into our lives. It takes a whole lot of effort to make a positive change. Positive change is when one realizes his or her negligence and failures in life and work thoroughly through to affect those with a better change by refraining from them and adopting a new style of living.

Have we realized how difficult it is to raise one or pull one who has fallen back on his or her feet? Assuming you are standing on top of a building and have been given a task to pull another person standing beneath to the top of the building. You could see how difficult it is to drag that person upwards. It would demand lots of effort and even other people’s assistance to achieve that goal. That is how difficult effecting a positive change to your life is.

Many people have fallen from their lives. Many people have spiritually been deformed. Others are suffocating in their spirit without even realizing it. They think the ability to wake up every morning to carry on with day to day activities means all. There is more to life than we think. When we talk about negative change, on the other hand, is the opposite of the positive change. It takes less or no effort at all to effect a negative to your life. Standing on top of a building to push someone to the floor is just simple. Choosing to fall from life demands no effort at all. It’s just by making a choice to relax and sleep day in day out.

Any change affecting your life without your realization is changing you not for the better. You would never realize that you are effecting a negative change to your life because it takes no effort to perform that task. It is just a matter of relaxing and misusing any opportunity that comes your way. The power to decide is in your hands. A disciplined person needs no third party to direct his ways. Discipline people do not wait for others to tell them to act before they do so. As a disciplined person, you should know what is good for you and work towards it likewise what is bad and refrain from it. The power to decide where to belong in life lies in your hands.

Let us read some verses in the Bible to better our understanding. According to the book of Hebrews 9:1-9. We could realize that God in his own mentality and senses saw that the old system that he in his own knowledge ordered Moses to lay for the Israelites to follow was not effective. It was not effective because it was unable to cleanse the sins of the people the way He (God) wanted it. God established his own system through Moses but when he realized that it was not able to meet His standards, he perfected it Through Jesus. He established a better system. A system that could complete all his tasks at a goal. A system that could meet all his standards. A system that could totally cleanse the sins of people in order to totally make them whole again. He affected his own system with a positive change and it indeed brought light to people.

From verses 11 to 12 we could see that Christ was able to enter the Most Holy place to secure the redemption of people ones and for all. Indeed God through Christ was able to meet his standards. From verses 13 to 15, we also came to the realization that the blood of goats and bulls set in the old system was just able to cleanse the people’s bodies from ceremonial Impurities. A 40% change meant nothing to God. He perfected it through the son of man and made it a 100% score to the lives of the people.

When God saw that his own system was not helping or not working according to the way he wanted it, He established a new system. He introduced Christ to their lives and everything became swift and beautiful. He gave them Christ and everything became perfect as the way he wanted. He sent Christ to secure their redemption forever. The people were performing their duties as the way Moses had instructed them. But the main rationale of the ceremony was not excellently achieved. God, therefore, established a new system by making Christ the first priority in the lives of these people.

It is very necessary to put into account your previous life to see if you are able to meet your set standards in life. As a disciplined person, you should sit down and make an account for yourself to see if your targets are being met by the kind of lifestyle or system you are using. This means there should be a need for every discipline person to have a target in his or her life. If you come to the realization that your standards are not being met or you have been deviating through, make a positive change.

You might have engaged yourselves in bad habits all these while. You might have followed bad companies all these while. You might have wasted all your opportunities all this while. But I say to you, that all is not over. Yes, you have messed up all this while but I say to you that there is still a chance to establish yourself ones again if you make Christ this time around your first priority. Allow Jesus to enter into your Most Holy place. Give him the opportunity to dwell in your most Holy place. Prepare that place for him. Open the gateways of your heart for him and see how beautiful your life would turn to. You might have lived in darkness all this while, but I say to you, if you allow Christ to visit you, even the little intervention of His, can cleanse any negativities and downfalls in your life.

The bible lets us know that he makes things swift and beautiful in his own time. He is the keeper of time and days. He is the light that shines in the darkness. Living in darkness is very cruel because you do not see and understand what you do. Your eyes cannot see in darkness. You become confused and turn to just go anywhere your mind tells you. But when you choose Jesus and you allow him to settle in your most Holy Place, He will light your part. He will show you the way to go. He would open your eyes to see the glooms around you in order for you to jump over pits and barriers set before you by the enemy. Your life would turn out to be a successful one.

People might by now rejected you. People might have called you all sorts of names just because you were drowning into the ocean of darkness. It is never too late to make a positive change. It is never too late to allow the destiny changer into your life. Accept him today. Establish a new system today. Make a positive change today and when this time around, your people come to you and ask how come you were able to transform so easily, you tell though it was true that you were drowning, it was true that life was beating you, it was true that the enemy took charge of your life, but you realized the existence of someone perfect and wonderful.

You realized the existence of someone important and merciful. You realized the existence of the existence to whom when you tell your problems to, He wouldn’t condemn you, but would rather give you a helping hand, lift your hand, hug you and give you a new set of clothes to wear, lead you, support you and always, makes sure to respond to all your calls where and whenever you need him. He will lift you up and make you stand out differently in all your peers. Receive Jesus today, allow him to enter your most Holy place (heart) and He will grant you all your heart desires. Open your arms to accept him and believe that even when you are able to touch the little portion of His cloak you would be STRONGER AGAIN.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father I thank you for your word. I thank you for giving me the mind to understand your word. Father in the name of Jesus I pray for divine mercy. Lord I know I have been out from your path all these while. Lord I know I have paid no listening ear to your words all this while. Father, your word above has made me know that, If only I realize that you are the Kings of Kings and the lord of lords, you would forgive all my sin and come and dwell in me. Lord this day I open my heart for you to come and settle within me. I confess and regret all the things I did in darkness. I was blindfolded by the world but your word has made me understand that, when I realize my negligence and come to you, you would never forsake or reject me. Father, I need a positive change in my life. Come and teach the way I should go. Come and help me overcome all evil plots against my life. Father, I believe in your word and I pray this prayer with a believing heart that ye Lord would answer my prayers in Jesus’s name I pray-AMEN.
