Since Donald Trump was sworn into office, Nigeria has suffered from several of his administration’s anti-immigration policies and negative comments.
Despite President Trump’s strict immigration ban Nigerian citizens to the United States, Trump’s popularity in Nigeria would seem to be a manifestation of predominant disenchantment in a country classified by poverty, insecurity, terrorism attacks, corrupt government, religious violence, including the horrible burning of churches, and the killing and persecution of Christians.
For Christians in particular, the support for Trump also over the past few years has been mind-blowing. Many believing that Christians are being persecuted in Nigeria. Which was sentimentality trumpeted by Trump himself when he visited Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari in 2018. He had a very serious problem with Christians who have been murdered, killed, and attacked by terrorists in Nigeria. Trump seems to be deeply concerned for Nigeria.
According to the Pew Research Centre survey, most Nigerians have confidence in the Trump administration in fighting for world affairs.
In the video below, we spot Nigerians with placards and flags singing joyously in their native language as they parade for US’s President Donald Trump.
