The Christian Council of Ghana has announced a week of non-denominational fasting and prayer ahead of Ghana’s forthcoming 2020 general election in a press statement signed by the General Secretary of the Council, Rev Dr. Cyril Fayose.
Under the theme “Seek peace and pursue it” (1 Peter 3:11), the national week of fasting and prayer is planned to start from Wednesday, November 25 to Sunday, November 29, 2020, nationwide.
The climax of the program will be a gathering for a peace rally across the country. Where all Christians in Accra will gather at the Perez Dome while those in the other 15 regions will gather at a church auditorium in their respective regions for the rally.
The Christian Council added in their statement that; “All flagbearers will be called upon to affirm their commitment to peaceful elections.”
