Maverick City Music is excited to host one of the biggest events in LA Mission History. On Monday, July 25, 2022, the Musiic is an acronym for M.aintaining U.niversal S.trategic I.nvestments I.n C.ommunity. In addition to providing food and essential supplies to Skid Row residents, LA Mission will be hosting a free performance by the Grammy-Award-winning gospel group Maverick City Music, who will be performing on the prior evening to a sold-out audience at the Crypto.com Arena.
Additionally, Maverick City Music plans to spend the day personally giving back. The Musiic Matters “Summer Day of Service” will offer Outdoor Fellowship, Prayer Requests, Free On-Site Showers, Food Truck Vendors, Essential Supplies, Giveaways, Raffles, and more for free. The event will run from 12pm-5pm at the corner of 5th Street and Wall Street. Together, Maverick City Music and Los Angeles Mission will uplift individuals facing homelessness by bringing light and love to Skid Row.
Political, community, and spiritual leaders from all over Los Angeles and the surrounding cities are invited to participate, and we are expecting nearly 2,000 attendees to gather at this gated street festival.
