Is Christian persecution inevitable? This year has marked serious Christian persecution all around the world, as we witness countries like China, Afghanistan, Algeria, India and Iran all facing a similar problem.
Well, the Western side of African is not excepted from this serious issue. Nigeria currently being one of the centres of Christian persecution. According to CBN News, 33 Christians in five Christian communities were murdered by Islamic extremists in southern Kaduna state of Nigeria over a two-day period.
It is being reported that 4 additional Christians were killed in Kachia County on August 17 while their driver Danlami Dariya, was kidnapped. This horrific violence was done by Muslim Fulani Militants, among those killed are three men and an old woman. Some Islamic extremists also attacked Kachia County’s Bugai village on 16th August.
These attacks by these Fulani Militants isn’t something new. Many people were killed in Kaduna state, predominantly Christians. As these attacks grow on them, many have flown from their houses and left their farms to live elsewhere to continue living their lives peacefully.
However, some Fulani herdsmen disagree with these Islamic extremist’s ideology to hunt and kill followers of Christ.
The question is that, Muhammadu Buhari, the president of Nigeria who is attributed as a Fulani in support of these Islamic extremists and why is it that nothing has been done about it.
Let us all stand and intercede for these hunted Christians around the world. “For with Christ, all things are possible……in HIM we find our strength”.
