Organizers of the 3Music Awards have officially called out the nominations and nominees for this year’s edition of the 3music Awards 2021. Virtually unveiling the nominees on Friday, February 12, 2021; a list of gospel musicians found space in various categories on the nomination list. Purporting how the Gospel fraternity of Ghana’s music industry is thriving.
Once again, the Adom(Grace) hit-maker, Diana Hamilton managed to enter the Artiste of the Year Category which is the ultimate and has everyone eyeing at. She is the only act from the Gospel side competing with top secular artists in the industry. Heading on against the likes of Kuame Eugene, Adina, Sarkodie, Medical, Stonebwoy, and Fameye. Alongside battling out on Song of the Year with her big-time hit Adom (Grace) and five other nominations.
Gospel Act Of The Year category which seems to be the ultimate for the gospel folks also is packed with eight solid gospel nominees. Making it on the category list respectfully are; Joe Mettle, Empress Gifty, Akesse Brempong, Celestine Donkor, MOG Music, Diana Hamilton, Patience Nyarko, and Joyce Blessing
“The 4th affords us the opportunity to not only honor popular music and the innovation we experienced last year following the outbreak of a pandemic but to also curate an experience that speaks to the now and future of music whilst celebrating our music history. Most importantly, the 4th should be reflective of 3Music’s commitment for better representation and inclusion for particularly female talents,” Sadiq Abdulai Abu, CEO, 3Media Networks says.
The 4th edition of the annual 3Music Awards comes off on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 8pm. The winners announcement will be aired on JoyPrime TV and Facebook on the 3Music awards page as well as on YouTube.
