This year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards has proven once again that the Gospel fraternity in Ghana’s music industry is really thriving. Multiple award-winning gospel musician Diana Hamilton after contending in stiff competition historically beats the likes of Kidi, Sarkodie, and others who were tips for the topmost award; Artiste of The Year Award at the VGMA 2021, crowning her the first female to have won the award for the Gospel side.
Diana had nominations for six big categories of the VGMA2021;
- Best Gospel Song of the Year
- Songwriter of the Year
- Best Music Video of the Year
- Best Gospel Artiste of the Year
- Vodafone Most Popular Song of the Year
- Artiste of the Year
Adom hit-maker out of the six categories won the Gospel Artiste of the Year, Gospel Song of the Year, Popular Song of the Year, and rolled them up with the Artiste of The Year. Making her one of the top awardees for the just-ended VGMAs. Her hit song “Adom (Grace)” which was released on 18th September 2020, has been globally accepted and has been making waves since its release. The Adom song has also won Diana several awards and accolades.
Diana took to her Instagram page to express her joy and her gratitude. “To everyone who supported me through your prayers, words of encouragement, public or private support, I am very grateful. Diana Hamilton stated. She further encourages her fans saying; “This is to encourage somebody out there, the road might be long but it will be worth it just trust the process!”

The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards is the biggest music festival sponsored by Vodafone Ghana aimed at honoring Ghanaian musicians and stakeholders in the entertainment industry every year to reward hard work through the voting audience. The 22 edition of the VGMA ended in Accra on Sunday 27th of June 2021.
