Iran, a country which is predominantly occupied by Muslims in the Islamic Religion has now be miraclously convert to an evangelical state of Christians.
Iran, an ancient Kingdom which can be traced from the Old Testament. It was Persia that put an end to the Babylonian empire and allowed the Judeans to return to their homeland after three generations in exile. After that, king Cyrus permitted the Jews to rebuild their temple, after Nebuchadnezzar had destroyed it. The Persians themselves were once Zoroastrians, followers of an ancient dualistic religion largely replaced by Islam in the 7th century AD. Persian culture retained a certain prestige status in the Near East, and the Ottoman Turks took on elements of both Persian and Byzantine cultures as they built their own imperial legacy. This land has grow to become modern Iran, which has a population of 83,992,949.
Since the hit of Coronavirus, Iran has miraclously become one of the most country with a rapid growth of Christianity despite an ordeal of persecution.
It has been reported that churches in Iran’s territory have been expanding and increasing which has caused the government to worry.
According to Dan Andros (CBN Reported), Islamic Clerics are warning against the spread of Christianity, house churches are routinely targeted by authorities, and conversion to Christianity is actually viewed as an action against national security in parts of the country.
Churches in Iran popularly house churches are been hunted by the government and has said that Christianity is a threat to national security. However, these threats are not having any negative impact on the growth. Responsive survey indicated that the growth is getting to about One Million.
In an interview with a CBN reporter, Ansari of Mohabat TV said that Iran is now turning back to their faith in Islam and accepting Christ.
He explained that the growth could come with a risk and that risk is lack of theology. Unlike you and I, we have access to scriptural teachers and teachings but they don’t because many of them believed in Christ through TV or Radio Gospel broadcast.
The churches in Iran have been scattered due to government target. “The church in Iran is quite scattered, it’s very fragile and it really does need to come out of isolation. That’s one of the major challenges that this young church in Iran face.” He added.
Our hope and prayer is that the growth of Christianity will withstand all the odds and be established. They will find strength and encourage to stand tall in victory.
