JVS in a press statement reflected that; “It has been a tough year for everyone, but through it all, God has been so good to us. In this song, we’re giving Him praise and glory for all the blessings he’s bestowed upon our lives.”
Recorded and produced between the United Kingdom and Ghana, the British Black gospel artist wrote this song after reflecting on the way that, despite all the challenges that this year brought him, trusting and having faith in God gave him strength and power.
“Life really went left the past few months to the extent where I was at breaking point. I can imagine everyone felt the same. But each and every time I was faced with challenging battles, God was the only person who I could call upon and look upon. He is my strength and redeemer. That’s what inspired this song.” — JVS
JVS’ debut single ‘Blessing Me’, released in July 2020, has reached over 19k streams on Spotify and was listed on The UK Christian Charts in September.
