The International Youth Empowerment Summit (IYES) 2023, is set to hold from Wednesday 15th to the 17th of March 2023, at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) Auditorium. IYES is a platform for young people from around the world to come together, share ideas, and collaborate on innovative solutions for a sustainable future. IYES 2023 promises to be a groundbreaking event, bringing together some of the brightest minds and most passionate personalities from all walks of life to discuss pressing global issues and take action toward a more equitable and sustainable world for the youth.
Pastor Brian, a young man who is passionate about empowering the youth spiritually and physically, is the convener of this event. The event, which has been ongoing for years, seeks to empower young people with the right information and spirit to become successful.
In an interview with Joy prime, Pastor Brian shared his journey of entering into ministry and his passion for young people. He recounted the numerous testimonies of young people who have been empowered through the program and have gone on to achieve great things, including starting their own businesses and publishing books.
When asked about what people can expect from the event, Pastor Brian emphasized that the platform is not solely spiritual but also focuses on financial and health empowerment, with sessions on different aspects of life. The evening session is reserved solely for spiritual upliftment.
“It is something you should come and experience. We have created the platform not solely to be spiritual. So as you know, morning sessions are for the empowerment sessions. In finance, we bring people to talk about finance. And even now, I really want us to talk about health because lots of people are dying because they don’t take care of their health. So we have different segments for people that would want to go into politics, entertainment, and all facets of life. We have reserved the evening service session solely for spiritual upliftment. That’s when the church aspect is in.”
He further talked about the first-ever job IYES job fair in Ghana saying, “This year, there’s a whole twist to the event, there is going to be the first-ever job fair on Wednesday morning. Because I realized that we can’t just be talking like that, somebody needs the opportunity. So what I and my team and the board decided was that okay, we are going to bring the companies to the grounds. So anybody that needs a job, come prepared. We have different companies coming. So who knows, something can happen. And we have study abroad sessions”
