Seoul, South Korea, and Chicago, USA, November 16, 2020—A blood plasma donation event of 4,000 COVID-19 survivors began today (Nov. 16) in Daegu, S. Korea. The donation was initiated by the Shincheonji Church of Jesus (SCJ) of which all donors are members of.
This is the third large scale plasma donation organized by SCJ and will continue for three weeks starting November 16, Monday through Friday.
The hope and prayer of the church and the plasma donors is for the acceleration and development of COVID-19 blood system drugs that would provide global relief and treatment.
The church is the most active and largest group in the world when it comes to their dedication to providing blood plasma donations from members who had recovered from COVID-19. As you may know the church had the highest infection rate in South Korea, with thousands of members having been infected. They are not trying to give back to their communities in a profound way
