Faith works by love, declares the Lord. Faith works by love. And I call to you this day. Will I be able to trust you with the gifts that I have given you? As I have given you gifts, anointed you, touched your life, and empowered you, am I able to trust you with those gifts, go forth with them, and share them with others? For the Lord knows the secret this morning. The Lord understands what it will take for everyone in here to go and bring somebody to church next week.
If you could come back here and you would be given $1,000 for every soul you bring to church, you would bring not one, not two, but you would bring your car load to get those $1,000. The Lord says, that is not love, and that is not faith, but the Lord wants you to understand that you would bring souls to church, even if you got paid $1,000 for each one. The Lord says, I paid a greater price than that for a soul. I paid a greater price than that for a soul. I paid a greater price.
And the Lord says, I would call you this day to examine your heart and see if that love in your heart is big enough, if my presence in your life is great enough to get someone into this house, to get someone in to hear the gospel, to get someone in here to be touched by the presence of God. The Lord would say to you, examine your heart and see how much faith, because you will stand before me one day, every jot and every little. You will stand before me one day and give an account for your life, for how much of me you’ve allowed to be in your life, for how many people you brought to me that they could hear my word.
The Lord says, as a moment of truth, says the Lord, and a moment for you to really understand where you are. You must examine your heart and understand that yes, for $1,000, you would bring someone to church. So, if you would bring someone to church for $1,000, then why not bring them for someone who paid a greater price, $1,000? Why not bring them as an act of faith? Why not bring them as an act of love that is in your heart? Why not bring them to hear, says God. Know the truth this morning, and the truth will set you free. It will set you free from your complacency, from your laziness, from your fear, from your spiritual lukewarmity. Know the truth, and it will set you free this morning, that you might go forth into highways and hedges and compel people to come into my house, declares the Lord.”
