The act of Homosexuality has been one of the major concerns that Christians around the world are challenged to face. This kind of act has now been given a special name, LGBT (Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender).
The bible talks about these things back in Genesis 19, where God reigned fire to consume the people of Sodom.
America has been the center focus in recent ages concerning LGBT
In the year 2015, the Former President of the United States of America, Mr Barack Obama made a statement declaring LGBT marriage constitutional.
“It’s a victory for gay and lesbian couples who have fought so long for their basic civil rights. It’s a victory for their children, whose families will now be recognized as equal to any other. It’s a victory for the allies and friends and supporters who spent years, even decades, working and praying for change to come.
And this ruling is a victory for America. This decision affirms what millions of Americans already believe in their hearts: when all Americans are treated as equal we are all more free.”
The Democrat party has been popularly known for uniting America in equality form. The recent president-elect, Joe Biden has his own way of uniting. The president-elect believes that the Trump-Pence administration has fought badly against people who are in same-sex marriage. He said that such people have been denied of employment, family closure, love.
“Donald Trump and Mike Pence have given hate against LGBTQ+ individuals safe harbor and rolled back critical protections for the LGBTQ+ community.
By blocking the ability of transgender individuals to openly serve their country, denying LGBTQ+ people access to critical health care, proposing policies allowing federally funded homeless shelters to turn away transgender people and federally funded adoption agencies to reject same-sex couples, and failing to address the epidemic of violence against transgender people—particularly transgender women of color—the Trump-Pence Administration has led a systematic effort to undo the progress President Obama and Vice President Biden made.”
Biden has assured such people that he will protect and make sure to expand their program. He vows that when he is sworn in, he will meet the LGBTQ community to ensure that there is freedom of operation.
Biden-Harris administration vow to:
•Protect LGBTQ+ people from discrimination.
•Support LGBTQ+ youth.
•Protect LGBTQ+ individuals from violence and work to end the epidemic of violence against the transgender community, particularly transgender women of color.
•Expand access to high-quality health care for LGBTQ+ individuals.
•Ensure fair treatment of LGBTQ+ individuals in the criminal justice system.
Collect data necessary to fully support the LGBTQ+ community.
•Advance global LGBTQ+ rights and development.
This administration when assumes power on January 20, 2021, plans to do all these things for LGBT.
LGBTQ community has expressed excess joy when they heard Trump has lost the election. The community during Trump’s administration has not been completely functioning, being denied of many things.
Biden on last week Friday, tweeted that his administration will fight, listen and see not only to their safety but the justice they have been denied of.
