After having a wonderful time together at the “Evening of Thanksgiving”, an event CeCe held prior to the “Believe it’ album for the Compassion Inc. The two once again have had a collaboration at the 2021 56th Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards that stunned viewers and audience.
The award-winning Carrie Underwood and the gospel music legend CeCe Winans shared an amazing time together during their on-stage performance. The 2021 ACM awards was held at Nashville on Sunday night, 18th April.
Donning a gorgeous cream-coloured and shimmery gown, Carrie Underwood looked nothing short of an angel as she began to sing musical medley with a rather subdued performance of “Amazing Grace”. Moving from there, the gorgeous Carrie shifted from that song to “Great Is Thy Faithfulness”, after a little taste of its intro, Carrie paused to introduced the “legendary” CeCe Winans. They both joined to give us a stunning duet version of the song. After a powerful ministration, CeCe exited the stage for Carrie Underwood to proceed. Carrie gave us another uplifting rendition of “How Great Thou Art” with a positive back by a wonderful choir. The rendition got the socially-distanced crowd on their feet singing along and cheering.
The medley songs performed by Carrie Underwood were part of the gospel collection for Underwood’s latest, “My Saviour” which was released in March. The new gospel collection marks the first-ever full-length gospel collection of her career. Also, the project marks her second faith-based project in a row following the success of her 2020 Christmas album, “My Gift”.
